Rainbow Readers: a Queer YA Book Club
Join us to eat snacks and discuss a queer book chosen at last month's meeting! June read: The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes. Yami is the Mexican American new girl at a mostly white, mostly rich Catholic school. She left her previous school after she was outed by her ex-friend (and ex-crush), and with this new start she’s determined to stay in the closet, fly under the radar, and get through. However, there’s one openly queer girl at the school too…and she’s super cute. Yami has to figure out what being true to herself really means! New members always welcome; we meet the second Wednesday of every month. *Ages 12-18*
