DESCRIPTION:English Language Acquisition (ELA) \n\nRichmond Public Schools 
 Adult Services program offers ELA classes (also known as ESL) for two 
 semesters each year.  Designed for speakers of other languages who wish to 
 learn to speak\, read and write English in an American cultural context. 
 Classes are available for beginner\, intermediate and advanced levels. The 
 purpose of the class os to help English Language Learners achieve greater 
 competency as family members\, citizens\, and workers. These are for adults 
 who have some English Language skills and are interested in learning how to 
 access information and services that will help in daily living experiences. 
  These classes are only for adults and the do include a small fee and
