SUMMARY:Keys to Homeownership: Affordable Housing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Two homebuyer information class sessions in one day that will 
 cover downpayment assistance/affordable housing programs and the homebuying 
 process:\n\nSession 1 – The Downpayment Assistance/Affordable Housing 
 Program session will be held from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. This 1-hour session 
 will cover specific information each month on downpayment and affordable 
 housing grants and programs in your local area. If you plan to attend 
 session 1\, please be sure to arrive at 9:30 am. REGISTER FOR PART 1 
 HERE!\n\nSession 2 – The Virginia Housing Homebuyer Education session 
 will be held from 10:30 am – 4:45 pm*.  This session is a 6-hour 
 homebuyer education class sponsored through Virginia Housing that will 
 cover Managing Your Money\, Credit\, Exploring Lenders\, Mortgages\, and 
 the Loan Process\, Working with a Real Estate Agent\, All You Need to Know 
 About the Home Inspection\, and the Loan Closing.  This class is a 
 certified Virginia Housing homebuyer education class and meets the 
 educational requirements for Virginia Housing loans\, some other loan 
 products\, and most downpayment and closing cost assistance programs. A 
 certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the workshop. 
 *Registration is required. Space is limited. Please register at

 the day and select the date that you would like to attend\, the City of 
 Richmond Main Library location – 101 E Franklin Street\, Richmond\, VA
