Agents of Change: Female Activism in Virginia from Women's Suffrage to Today

Come into the library and walk through history!

This free standing exhibit from the Virginia Museum of History and Culture commemorates the centennial of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, using text and imagery to recognize a century of women’s social and political activism in the Commonwealth.

The exhibition highlights the efforts and impact of a selection of female change-makers, including suffragists, office holders, community organizers, educators, and social reformers.

A related program will be offered on Monday, August 15 at 5 pm at Belmont with a presentation by Dr. Karen Sherry, curator of this exhibition.
