RESCHEDULED to MAY 21st: Garden Learning Day

This program was postponed due to weather. The program will take place on Saturday, May 21st from 1pm - 3pm.


An afternoon of presentations about various garden-related topics, including native plants and invasive species.

The Richmond Master Gardeners will present samples and information about native plants, as well as how to follow the "Right Plant, Right Place" approach to gardening. Members of the JRPS Invasive Plant Task Force will highlight several invasive plant species common to our own yards that have overtaken our parks and other natural areas.  Participants will learn why invasive plants are one of the greatest ecological threats to our parks and what they can do to help, including how to identify, control, and remove these plants from their property.

Please note this program will take place outside in the Library Park, located on Main Street between 1st & 2nd Streets.
