Start on the patio and follow the pages in the windows until you reach the rear entrance to the library.
There, you can pick up an activity packet full of fun things to make and do at home.
This month's book is Stellaluna by Janell Cannon. Stellaluna (a fruit bat) is separated from her mother after they are attacked by an owl. She lands in a bird's nest, and the mother bird allows Stellaluna to stay, as long as Stellaluna doesn't teach the bird babies bad tricks--like hanging upside down from the nest to sleep. Stellaluna is raised like a baby bird- sleeping head up, eating insects, and sleeping at night- until finally she is reunited with her mother.
