Jessamyn Stanley is an internationally acclaimed leading voice in wellness, recognized as a 2020 Visionary to Watch by Obvious Magazine and named one of the Most Influential African Americans of the year in The Root 100. She is highly sought after for her insights on 21stcentury yoga and intersectional identity as a queer Black woman.

Jessamyn is the founder of The Underbelly, a streaming wellness app with digital yoga classes available on the web, iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire. Jessamyn launched The Underbelly to help individuals tune in to themselves and live authentically. The platform is a home for wellness enthusiasts and the “wellness-curious” who may feel displaced, discouraged, or overlooked due to not seeing themselves reflected in the health and fitness community. The brand has quickly gained acclaim for its inclusive approach toward physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Jessamyn’s first book, Every Body Yoga: Let Go of Fear, Get on the Mat, Love Your Body, has inspired global audiences to discover the power of yoga and set forth on a path for personal development. Her new book, YOKE: My Yoga of Self-Acceptance, is a series of deeply honest, funny, gritty, thoughtful, and largely autobiographical essays exploring issues of self-love, body liberation, consumerism, cultural appropriation, sex and sexuality, cannabis, and more, all through the lens of an authentic yoga practice.
