FREE SPEECH, FREE PRESS, FREE SOCIETY

2019 Law Day, featuring a discussion led by Francesca Leigh-Davis and Jessee Perry of RVA Dirt and Katy Burnell Evans, Local Government Editor at the Richmond Times-Dispatch around the theme—"Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society"—focuses on these cornerstones of representative government and calls on us to understand and protect these rights to ensure, as the U.S. Constitution proposes, “the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity.” This Annual Law Day Program celebrating our American Constitutional freedoms under the Rule of Law will touch on how our guarantees of freedom of speech and freedom of the press underpin our society.
