Art Exhibits & First Friday @ Main
APRIL 2018 ART EXHIBITS
The following exhibits will be on display from Friday, April 6, 2018, through Tuesday, May 1, 2018:
GELLMAN ROOM: “Concrete & Stone”—manmade and natural landscapes in acrylic by Richmond artist Donna Frostick
DOOLEY FOYER: Mali Exhibit
DOOLEY HALL: Sculpture from wire and found objects by Richmond artist Wendy McClary
2ND FLOOR GALLERY: “Wanton Biophilia”—paintings that are a synthesis of psychology and biology – the result of a lifetime of fascination with the natural world, filtered through the subconscious of Lexington artist Jennifer Cox.
The library’s permanent collections include works by David Freed, Helen & Alvin Hattorf, and Anne Newbold Perkins.
FIRST FRIDAY @ MAIN
First Friday, a monthly opening-night reception for all the artists of the library’s galleries, will be held on Friday,
April 6, 2018, from 6:30—9:00 pm.
