Veterans Poetry Celebration with the Poet Laureate of Virginia
In partnership with the Academy of American Poets, the Poetry Society of Virginia, the Richmond Public Library, and the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, veterans and the public are invited to join Mattie Quesenberry Smith, Poet Laureate of Virginia, for an afternoon of readings and awards.
Facilitated by Mattie Quesenberry Smith, this event celebrates the Poetry of Society of Virginia’s Perseverance & Resilience Edward W. Lull Memorial Contest winners and finalists, along with presenting a broadside and having a panel discussion with writers and poets on perseverance and resilience.
