An Introduction to Irish Music Sessions
If you’re traveling soon to Ireland, or have happened upon a local Irish traditional music session, and want to better understand what you're hearing and seeing, attend this event! We will walk through and "annotate" a live Irish music session, explaining the instruments involved, types of tunes, and enough history of the music to better understand a bit about why Irish traditional music sounds the way it does. Questions will be welcome throughout.
