STEAM Team: Acrylic Paint Pouring
Join us for our monthly STEAM Team event for elementary-aged children. This month we’ll combine science and art as we explore viscosity and fluidity while using a pour painting technique to make some amazing art. Pour painting, aka fluid art, involves creating paintings by pouring paint onto a canvas. We’ll learn about the components of paint, explore the concept of viscosity, and see how adding a solvent before pouring affects the way paint behaves. This event requires registration. Adults should plan to stay to assist any younger children (5-8 yrs). They are also welcome to stay with their 9-12 year olds.
