Introduction to the Sewing Machine Class for Teens/Adults - Holiday Edition!
This sewing machine class is open to adults and older teens who are beginners looking to develop their sewing skills for personal use or as a marketable skill that can be used to support themselves or their families. Class is limited to 12, only registered attendees will be able to participate. The library will provide basic supplies like needles, threads, and sample fabric for all.
The class is taught by Marquetta Fisher, a Richmond-based artist and designer with 40+ years of experience with sewing, crocheting, and fashion design. She was educated at NY Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Design and Shaw University in Interior Design.
IMPORTANT: Registration Required. This is a single session, 3-hour class designed to give an introduction to the sewing machine and a guide to creating special holiday gifts.
