United Against Hate - Protecting Houses of Worship (USDOJ)

United Against Hate - Protecting Houses of Worship (USDOJ)

United Against Hate – Protecting Houses of Worship is a public program focused on protecting all houses of worship. The Assistant US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia cordially invites you and/or members of your organization to attend!

United Against Hate is a U.S. Department of Justice initiative that convenes local forums that connect community groups to federal, state, and local law enforcement to increase community understanding and reporting of hate crimes; build trust between law enforcement and communities; and create and strengthen alliances between law enforcement and other government partners and community groups to combat unlawful acts of hate. This interfaith event will be focused on protecting houses of worship through presentations by the FBI and federal prosecutors on topics such as threats reporting, active shooter training, and hate crime laws that protect religious congregations. There will also be ample time for questions and community engagement.

To RSVP and/or ask any questions, please contact Nicholas Durham, Asst. US Attorney, at NDurham@usa.doj.gov or 703-299-3758.
