Childcare Provider Workshop: Autism Society of Central Virginia
Childcare providers will receive 1.5 CEUs for this workshop. In this training, we will identify common characteristics associated with Autistic individuals, from social communication challenges to sensory sensitivities and repetitive behaviors.
We will explore how to support communication through clear and concrete language, visual aids, and alternative communication methods along with sensory supports, such as quiet spaces and sensory tools. We will also have interactive discussions about scenarios and time for questions. Empower yourself with valuable insights and tools to foster inclusivity and support within your centers.
