Homemade Bird Feeder for Toddlers & PreK
As the weather warms and birds return, let's practice our fine-motor skills by creating a small bird feeder. Little hands will string blueberries and Cheerios--a whole-grain option deemed by many experts to be OK as an occasional snack for neighborhood birds--onto pipe cleaners and then take them home to share with feathered friends. Snacking while working is expected and encouraged.
This event is best for toddlers and preK, ages 2-5.
