Kids D&D Club - Introduction
Are you or your child interested in learning how to play Dungeons & Dragons but not sure where to get started? Join us at the Ginter Park Library for a fun, free, and new-player friendly D&D gaming session. Learn all the basics and create your very own character! All materials and information provided.
Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop roleplaying game where players take on the roles of a unique and personally-created character in a fantasy setting, working with other players to overcome various obstacles. This game helps promote math skills, cooperation, leadership, and creativity. Come try it out!
This initial part of the program focuses on reviewing the basics of the game and character creation. The second part of the program, listed separately, is the actual playing session where players will use their premade characters to play a short game of D&D. Attendance to both parts of the program is not required. If you only want to learn about the game itself, you only need to register for this part of the program.
Open to children ages 8-12 and their parents. Registration is required.
