Who is Michael Rizzo?

Michael Rizzo is a writer, artist, photographer, teacher, art director, and web designer. Michael Rizzo is known for Vanilla Sky (2001), Joy Ride (2001) and JFK (1991). He worked as the Art Director of GLEE at Paramount Studios. Among the films he has both art directed and production designed are Vanilla Sky, Notes from Underground, Joy Ride, My Fellow Americans, Rocketman, Gone Fishin’, Murder in the First, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Body of Evidence, White Sands, My Cousin Vinny, and JFK. His TV credits include Glee, The Hunley, The Day Lincoln was Shot, The Lost Battalion, Ghost Whisperer, Comic Relief, Golden Gate, and All My Children

Michael Rizzo’s Art Directors Guild Award Nominations include: 

  • 2011 Nominee Excellence in Production Design Award for Episode of a One Hour Single-Camera Television Series, Glee for episode "Britney/Brittany" (Shared with: Mark Hutman, Timothy M. Earls, Jason Sweers, and Barbara Munch)
  • 2000 Nominee Excellence in Production Design Award for Television Movie or Mini-Series, The Hunley ((Shared with: Roy Forge Smith) 
  • Jane Lynch, Lea Michele, Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Matthew Morrison, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, Kevin McHale, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley, and Heather Elizabeth Morris in Glee (2009)      The Hunley (1999)

Meldon Jenkins-Jones

Meldon Jenkins-Jones is the Richmond Public Library / Community Services Manager at Hull Street Branch Library. 

Meldon also chairs the Get Lit Advisory Committee which supports the Richmond Public Library Get Lit Reading Initiatives including the Black Male Emergent Readers (BMER) program and the Lit Chicks Read book clubs.

Meldon is a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond Class of 2022. She was the first recipient of the Virginia Library Association (VLA) Librarians of Color Forum Award in 2021 and is an active member of VLA. She presented “Libraries Bringing Community Together” at the 2023 VLA Annual Conference.

In 2011, Meldon received her Master of Library and Information Studies from Florida State University. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law—Newark and practiced law in New Jersey until her retirement in 2003. Meldon received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she studied African American Studies and Russian Civilization.

A Metro Richmond resident, Meldon is the mother of two adult children and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
