Beginner Sewing Machine Class - 3 Week Session - Saturdays (Session 8)

This sewing machine class is open to adults and older teens who are beginners looking to develop their sewing skills for personal use or as a marketable skill that can be used to support themselves or their families. Class is limited to 10, only registered attendees will be able to participate. Attendance is required every week to get the most out of the class. The library will provide sewing machines for 6 attendees and basic supplies like needles, threads, and sample fabric for all. If you have your own machine, you are welcome to bring it. Please note the popularity of the class may require you to share a machine with another attendee.

The class is taught by Marquetta Fisher, a Richmond-based artist and designer with 30+ years of experience with sewing, crocheting, and fashion design. She was educated at NY Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Design and Shaw University in Interior Design.
