Teen STEAM: Alebrije Folk Art Sculptures
Ever see brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures and animals? Join us in September during Hispanic Heritage Month to learn about the history behind Alebrije folk art, then use your creativity to make your own animal sculpture.
These STEAM events will provide teens with a variety of opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics through hands-on projects. Teens will expand their critical thinking skills, hone their creativity, practice working both independently and collaboratively, and enjoy solving problems through engaging activities.
